Mu Alpha Theta is the high school national mathematics honor society with more than 1800 local chapters such as the one we have here at Iowa City West High School. By joining the West High Math Club, you immediately enter this prestigious group of young mathematicians from around the world. Students have many opportunities to compete in math competitions at the local, state, regional, national, and international levels. Mu Alpha Theta is a club where students can have fun doing math! When you enroll in Mu Alpha Theta, you become a member of the largest academic club at West! Math involvement and achievement influences college admission and scholarships. The West High Math Club has won the State of Iowa Math Championship 23 of the the last 24 years, including the previous 18 years!
